Eyitayo Ogunmola

Eyitayo Ogunmola is an accomplished technology entrepreneur, business transformation specialist and digital skills development advocate with extensive experience in technology education, product management and workforce development. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Utiva, a technology education and global workforce development company focused on equipping African professionals with industry-relevant digital skills and connecting skilled talent with employment opportunities across international markets.
His professional career began in international development, where he worked on programmes funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) across six countries. He subsequently worked with Creative Associates International in the United States, contributing to technology and product management initiatives. He also served as Vice President of Product and Partnerships at Afrissance, an enterprise transformation consulting company, and undertook change management consulting assignments involving the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Drawing from his personal experience of the challenges faced by university graduates seeking employment, Mr. Ogunmola established Utiva to address the gap between formal education and the practical skills required by employers. Under his leadership, the company developed technology training programmes covering data science, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud computing, software development, product management and digital business skills. Through its instructor-led training, practical projects and career development initiatives, Utiva has supported thousands of professionals in developing skills relevant to the global technology industry.
As the company expanded, Mr. Ogunmola led its evolution from a technology training provider into a broader workforce development and global talent infrastructure platform. Utiva now offers solutions that connect employers with skilled professionals across emerging markets while supporting recruitment, workforce management, regulatory compliance and international payroll operations. In March 2026, Utiva was selected for the Techstars Workforce Development Accelerator, joining a cohort of technology companies developing solutions to improve access to employment and workforce opportunities.
Beyond his corporate leadership, Mr. Ogunmola has championed initiatives aimed at improving digital inclusion and economic opportunities for underserved communities. In 2022, he launched the EyiEko Project, an initiative designed to provide technology skills training opportunities for 10,000 young Nigerians. He has also supported entrepreneurship development and mentorship initiatives encouraging young Africans to pursue careers in technology and establish sustainable businesses.
His professional recognition includes selection as an Atlas Corps Fellow, a 2019 Global Good Fund Fellow, a 2020 Halcyon Incubator Fellow and a Facebook Community Accelerator participant. He has also participated in the UNLEASH Innovation Lab and received recognition for his contributions to technology education and youth employment. In 2019, he was nominated for the Prize for Education at The Future Awards Africa.
Eyitayo Ogunmola continues to contribute to Africa's technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem through his work in digital skills development, artificial intelligence and global workforce solutions. He remains committed to expanding access to technology careers and creating opportunities for African professionals to participate competitively in the global digital economy.
